Reconstitution Information

Each MOTS-C vial now includes a complimentary 3 ml vial of sterile acetic acid to help achieve optimal laboratory solubility and minimise the risk of refrigerated gelling.

Recommended Reconstitution Protocol

1. Add 2.9 ml bacteriostatic water to the vial.

2. Allow the lyophilised peptide to dissolve completely.

3. Once fully dissolved, add 0.1 ml (10 units) of sterile acetic acid.

4. Total reconstitution volume: 3.0 ml.

Storage Characteristics

MOTS-C is known to be prone to reversible gelling or increased viscosity when reconstituted with bacteriostatic water and stored under refrigeration. This is a recognised physical characteristic of the peptide and does not necessarily indicate degradation.

If gelling occurs, simply allow the vial to return to room temperature before use. The solution should return to a clear, free-flowing state.

The addition of a small amount of sterile acetic acid helps minimise the likelihood of gelling during refrigerated storage.
